What Is Traditional PCA?
Personal Care Assistance (PCA) is a Minnesota state program that provides support to individuals who need help with daily living tasks due to a disability, chronic condition, or age-related challenges.
The Traditional PCA model is ideal for individuals who want a reliable, full-service approach where the provider agency manages the caregiver's employment and all care logistics.
Services May Include:
- Help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Help with transfers, positioning, and toileting
- Assistance with behavioral redirection and safety monitoring
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and feeding support
